Debate on Pesticide Use Reinforces Biological Solutions Adopted by Bracell

The growing debate on reducing pesticide use in Brazil highlights the importance of sustainable alternatives such as biological control. In this context, Bracell has strengthened its investments in nature-based solutions, significantly reducing reliance on chemical pesticides in its forestry operations.
By producing and releasing natural enemies to control pests, the company achieved an approximate 80% reduction in pesticide application, with consistent results across regions such as Bahia and São Paulo. Supported by biotechnology, drone application and technical partnerships, the initiative is part of the Bracell 2030 Agenda, reinforcing a more sustainable, efficient and climate-positive forestry model.
