Global leader in dissolving and specialty pulp strengthens diversity, expands social impact, and reinforces sustainable growth and climate strategy
Bracell has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting progress in its ESG agenda, with important results in climate, biodiversity, social impact, and operational efficiency. Key highlights include the protection of native vegetation, the removal of tons of CO₂ from the atmosphere, social investments, and progress toward the Bracell 2030 agenda targets. The document reinforces how the company is consolidating sustainability as a central pillar of its business, even in a challenging global scenario.
Among the most relevant milestones is the progress in the One-to-One Commitment, an initiative through which the company supports the conservation of one hectare of native forest for every hectare of eucalyptus planted. In 2025, Bracell contributed to the protection of 301,000 hectares of native vegetation, reaching its previously established target ahead of schedule (100%) and reinforcing its role in biodiversity preservation. In addition, the company advanced in nature-based solutions, using natural enemies for biological control in eucalyptus forests, which has already reduced the use of chemical pesticides by 80%.
“Two years after launching our Bracell 2030 targets plan, the results show that we are on the right path to turning our commitments into concrete deliveries. We have made consistent progress on important topics such as biodiversity and social impact, with an agenda that integrates growth and conservation. For Bracell, sustainability is not a parallel front, but the foundation of our business model and the way we generate long-term value,” says Márcio Nappo, Vice President of Sustainability at the company.
Emissions reduction and carbon removal
The climate agenda also delivered relevant results. Bracell’s operations enabled the removal of 3.4 million tons of CO₂e from the atmosphere, considering planted forests and preserved native areas. In addition, since 2020, the company has reduced carbon emissions per ton of product by 47%, advancing toward its decarbonization target by 2030.
On the operational front, Bracell reinforced its efficient and sustainable industrial model. In 2025, 90% of the energy used came from renewable sources, supporting reduced dependence on fossil fuels. The company also maintained high production capacity, with the ability to produce up to 3 million tons of kraft pulp and 2 million tons of dissolving pulp per year.
Tissue growth and expansion of social impact
Another highlight of the year was the strengthening of the tissue business, with market growth and international expansion. The company reached nearly 10% share in the Brazilian consumer market and expanded exports to regions such as Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.
On the social front, Bracell increased investments and positive impact in communities. Through Bracell Social, R$ 9.9 million were invested in projects, reaching more than 159,000 people in initiatives focused on education, income generation, and well-being.
The report also points to a 10% increase in income for families participating in income-generation projects compared to 2024, demonstrating consistent progress in promoting local development.
Diversity advances and sustainability is recognized
The company also made progress in diversity, with 27.7% of leadership positions held by women, reinforcing its commitment to achieving 30% by 2030.
Its sustainability performance was also recognized through relevant awards. The One-to-One Commitment received the 2025 Eco Award from Amcham Brasil, highlighting the company’s leadership in environmental conservation.
According to Bracell’s Vice President, the results demonstrate a consistent long-term strategy based on integrating growth with socio-environmental responsibility. The company remains committed to expanding its positive impact, consolidating an operating model that balances production, conservation, and social development.
